Cinema Italiano: Le Notti Bianche

An adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s 1848 short story "White Nights," Le Notti Bianche tells the tale of a lonely young clerk and a sheltered girl who begin a tentative romance. While he holds onto the possibility of a relationship with her, she continues to await the return of a long-absent lover.
