Saving Mr. Banks (2013)

“Winds in the East, Mist Coming in,” Mary Poppins (1964) is perhaps Walt Disney’s most beloved live-action film as a result of its groundbreaking special effects, timeless music, and unforgettable performances. However, in Saving Mr. Banks the untold story of the films creation is told from the perspectives of P.L. Travers, the author of the Mary Poppins books, and Walt Disney himself. In this semi-biographical drama, the truth behind the creation of Mary Poppins is shown through stellar performances and a poignant backstory. Inside the Walt Disney Archives proudly showcases Walt’s recreated office set that was used in the film. Join us for a screening of Saving Mr. Banks.
