Timeless Melodies: Doris Day & the Great Lady Singers

Presented by Larry Maurer, historian for the Timeless Melodies Foundation for Education, Inc.

Timeless Melodies’ newest program features Doris Day and the lady singers of the Great American Songbook. Historian Larry Maurer returns to the Bowers with his latest program taking you through Doris' early days as a local Cincinnati singer, her big band years, and the Warner Bros musicals. A reluctant star of 40 movies, 150 television shows, and over 500 recordings, her life off stage revealed a private life totally hidden from the public.
