Books at Bowers: Touring Through the Pages is a Bowers Docent Guild sponsored book club for Bowers Museum members. Join us on December 7 as the Bowers Book Club celebrates six years of reading and discussing interesting literature with stimulating conversation among museum members.

Bowers Book Club will enjoy our annual tribute to literature, libraries, and book clubs with “A Wassail in Winter” during which tasty treats and celebratory wine follows a book discussion from 1 – 2 PM in the Museum’s auditorium. Nominated for Best Fiction 2021, The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams celebrates libraries and the power of books to transform lives. This debut novel is set in multi-cultural London where an unlikely friendship occurs between a teenager working for the summer at a library and a retired Indian immigrant recently widowed. “Thoughtful and heartwarming … An absolute delight to read, it will be catnip to book groups craving a story to remind them why we read and how very important libraries and bookshops are.” (Library Journal) 382 pages.
