BIOS

George Ko:
Known for his alluring sound, expressivity, and eloquence at the keyboard, pianist/composer George Ko has appeared on stages worldwide, including nine appearances at Carnegie Hall. A Young Steinway Artist, his performances have been broadcast on ABC, CBC and featured in music festivals in Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, and China.
As a recording artist, his piano compositions and interpretations of Chopin have appeared on films at the Tribeca Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and Netflix. His current discography encapsulates his improvisational technique blending classical virtuosity, jazz flexibility, and film soundscapes.
George has given inaugural concerts for the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Bowers Museum, and the Fogg Museum. He also performed at the request of President Joe Biden, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Senator Barbara Boxer. In recognition of George’s artistic talent, his alma mater, Harvard University, awarded the David McCord Prize to him. He is also a 5-time laureate of the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition. George also guest lectured at Harvard, the MIT Media Lab, the Berklee College of Music, the Tanglewood Institute of Music, and the viral platform tonebase.
Currently, George resides in Los Angeles, California.

Bin He:
Starting his music training at age of 6, performer/song writer/composer Bin He graduated from China Conservatory of Music in 1995, specialized in Dizi (bamboo flute) and musical composition. After graduation, Bin joined Beijing Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and served as conductor of Peking University National Orchestra.
To introduce Chinese music to more western audience, Bin moved to the U.S. and established String & Bamboo Music School in 2002. In the past two decades, Bin is devoted to advocating Chinese music education and knowledge in SoCal by cultivating students’ appreciation and understanding of both musical cultures.
In 2006, Bin was invited by production company, M-Audio, to publish an instrumental library, Essence of China, which consists of various Chinese instruments. His credit performances include soundtrack production in movies 007: Skyfall, Song of the Dragon, Iron Road, video games War Craft III, True Crime, recordings for Disneyland, etc. Bin has been invited to perform for political leaders, such as Mr. Bill Clinton, Mr. Zhu Rongji, and Mr. Ying-jeou Ma.
Bin is the conductor of South Coast Chinese Orchestra and member of Chinese Musician Association, Chinese Orchestra Society, and BMI.
