Venice has continued its artistic relevance through its Biennale, the city’s biannual international art exhibition. This exhibition can be found in designated halls, pavilions, and gardens as well as integrated into other historic structures in the city. Contributions by artists Edward Hopper, Jasper Johns, Yayoi Kusama, and Louise Bourgeois helped to secure their places in the histories of modern and contemporary arts.
