The comics medium holds unique qualities when it comes to exploring time, making it a powerful tool for showing the complex relationships between the personal and the political, the present and the past. Hulls’s graphic memoir, Feeding Ghosts, traces the entwined story of three generations of women in her family, set against a tumultuous backdrop of Chinese history and diaspora.

In early 2023, the Abydos South Project (ASP) began its season working on a plot of land to the local north of the Ahmose Pyramid. This area had been identified as the possible location of the Ahmose Pyramid Town. ASP’s excavations, however, discovered that this area was, in fact, a large elite necropolis used for an exceedingly brief period of time.

By the 1930s a handful of Jewish songwriters were pouring out a stream of popular songs for Broadway and Hollywood: George & Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Richard Rodgers, and more. Join Larry Maurer of Timeless Melodies as he shares the music of these long forgotten Jewish songwriters.
