Welcome back author Nydia Armendia-Sanchez for a special reading of her newest book, Frida Kahlo’s Flower Crown. Told through the language of flowers, this lyrical and inspiring story celebrates the very blooms Frida grew in her garden, bought in her hometown markets, painted in her iconic portraits, and wore proudly in her crown. Held every last Saturday of the month, Storytime in the Galleries includes free copies of each author’s featured book while supplies last and free General Admission to the galleries. Reading in the galleries will be followed by a simple, fun art project that kids will love.
