The Junior Ambassadors of the Bowers
2026–27 Junior Ambassador Program Update
The 2026–27 Bowers Museum Junior Ambassador Program is well underway.
The Open House, application, interview, and training phases have been completed. Our 2026–27 Junior Ambassadors are now preparing and delivering their three-object presentations for museum visitors. As Junior Ambassadors for 2026–27, they serve throughout the museum by engaging with visitors while earning volunteer service hours.
If you are interested in becoming a Junior Ambassador, you will apply for the 2027–28 program. Details regarding the 2027–28 Open House, application process, eligibility requirements, and program timeline are currently being finalized and will be announced at a later date. Please check the Bowers website for updates.
Please note that the Junior Ambassador Program is a member benefit available to eligible Bowers Museum members at the Family level and above. The new program will run from June 2027 through April 2028.

About the Junior Ambassador Program
One of the most valued benefits of Bowers Museum membership is the opportunity for high school students to participate in our Junior Ambassadors Program.
Founded over 20 years ago by former Bowers Chairwoman Anne Shih, the program has positively impacted more than 100 students. Participants work closely with Bowers docents and museum staff, developing confidence and public speaking skills as they lead visitors through exhibitions. Through a rigorous training course, students gain a deeper understanding of global cultures and the world-class artifacts featured at the museum.
Over the years, Bowers has proudly watched its Junior Ambassadors grow and succeed, with many going on to attend distinguished universities across the United States. We take great pride in the program and its accomplished alumni.
Your child can be part of this unique and enriching experience by joining at the Family Membership level or above today.
