KEY COURTYARD | FAMILY FESTIVAL
Bowers Museum's free family festivals is held every first Sunday of the month in the Museum’s beautiful Key Courtyard. Enjoy live performances, art making, face painting and complimentary treats at every festival.
Celebrate Mehregan, one of Iran's oldest festivals, marking the harvest season and the arrival of autumn. Rooted in ancient Zoroastrian tradition, Mehregan honors Mithra, the deity associated with light, friendship, and love. Bring the whole family to enjoy free hands-on art activities, face painting, live music and dance performances, and a taste of a traditional Iranian sweet treat.
Event Schedule
John M. Lee Court (Indoors)
| 11 AM - 3 PM | Face painting, art projects, and Persian calligraphy by Mohtadi Mirak. Enjoy a Taste of the Seasons Box and a special treat from Maison de la Fork (while supplies last), plus the Mehregan Table designed by Marjeneh. |
