Bowers Museum Junior Ambassadors Open House
Saturday, May 2, 2026, 10:00a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Is there a teen in your family looking for a summer opportunity that builds confidence and leadership skills? Join us at Bowers Museum in Santa Ana for our Junior Ambassadors Open House and discover a program designed to help high school students thrive in a cultural arts setting while interacting with visitors.
The Junior Ambassadors summer program empowers students in grades 10–12 to strengthen their public speaking, presentation, and leadership skills while working alongside museum professionals. Participants gain hands-on experience in a dynamic cultural institution, deepen their appreciation for art and history, and develop the confidence and professionalism that colleges and future employers value.
As an added benefit, students can earn community service/volunteer hours through their participation — making this an enriching and practical way to meet school requirements while building a standout résumé.
Students will have the opportunity to tour our diverse galleries while engaging with visitors about artwork and objects from cultures around the world. These immersive experiences allow participants to connect more deeply with global histories and perspectives, broaden their understanding of the world, and strengthen their ability to communicate cultural stories with insight and respect.
At the Open House, families will:
-
Meet museum staff and learn about the program structure
-
Explore program expectations, commitments, and benefits
-
Ask questions and connect with other interested families
Participation is open to Orange County high school students entering grades 10–12 in Fall, 2026. A Bowers Family Membership is required to enroll (families may purchase or use an existing membership). Students will be selected based on their application and interview. Students should be able to demonstrate their interest in art, culture, and history through their high school college preparatory or advanced classes and in enrichment activities.
Invest in a summer that inspires growth, leadership, cultural connection, and meaningful experiences while engaging with a community of students and museum visitors. We look forward to welcoming you!
