NORMA KERSHAW AUDITORIUM | OPENING LECTURE
For more than three thousand years the Indigenous peoples of Mexico and Central America created magnificent works of art in ceramic, stone, jade, and gold. From the Olmec, Maya, and Zapotec of Mexico and Guatemala to the Chiriqui of Costa Rica, ancient artists made images from nature as well as of their rituals, gods, and rulers. Join Dr. Khristaan Villela, guest curator of Art of Mexico and Central America, for an illuminating talk on the opening weekend of Bowers’ new permanent exhibition.
Ticketed Event: Members $15 | General $20
