Scraps to Garden Gold: Joey’s Composting Story
Joey the raccoon lives in a village sunny and clear, with only one thing to fear: piles of trash and food scraps scattered in his neighborhood. Instead of neglecting the ever-growing problem, he chooses to take action - in the form of a composting garden. A heartwarming, poetic story coupled with endearing illustrations, Scraps to Garden Gold: Joey's Composting Story strives to educate and encourage youth to practice environmental stewardship in their community.
Held every last Saturday of the month, Storytime in the Galleries includes free copies of each author’s featured book for the first 35 to RSVP and free General Admission to the galleries for the first 35 participants to arrive at each event. Reading in the galleries will be followed by a simple, fun art project that kids will love.
Ticketed Event: Free with General Admission
