Held every last Saturday of the month, Storytime in the Galleries includes free copies of each author’s featured book while supplies last and free General Admission to the galleries. Reading in the galleries will be followed by a simple, fun art project that kids will love.

Capture the golden hues and laid-back beauty of the California coast as you paint a dreamy beach scene inspired by classic lifeguard towers and swaying palms. Guided by artist Erna van Dyk, participants will learn simple watercolor techniques while creating a sunny keepsake to take home.

Children will explore early California (1768-1848) life during the mission and rancho era by creating a mixed media landscape using drawing, collage, and texture techniques.
