From Ashes to Eden (2018) plus Q&A with Director Jahangir Golestan-Parast

This heartwarming documentary shares the story of Amir Dialameh, an Iranian-born American who started a community garden in Griffith Park after wildfires burned down large sections of the United States’ largest city park. The city didn’t have the money or resources to support community engagements, so Amir took it upon himself to define a generation, a generation he dreamed would support, love, and care for each other.
Following the film, explore the museum’s plant life with a special docent-led tour of the Bowers’ beautiful Huang Garden and Key Courtyard.
