Books at Bowers: Touring Through the Pages

Location: Fluor Gallery (in-person)

“Books at Bowers: Touring Through the Pages” is a Bowers Docent Guild sponsored book club. Join a docent-led book discussion for members.

In December the Bowers Book Club will celebrate the joys of reading by discussing The Uncommon Reader, written by acclaimed British author Alan Bennett, published in 2007, 128 pages. This funny and poignant novella explores how reading changes the reader. In this royal fable Queen Elizabeth encounters a mobile library and begins her literary journey into the world of reading for pleasure and exploring the lives of others.

The December book event, entitled “A Toast to Reading,” will feature a literary social hour rather than an exhibit tour.

Please join us for a holiday gathering of conversation and community dedicated to reading and literacy.

Free for members. To RSVP, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Space is limited to 25 Bowers Members.
