Arts on the Move | Orange County Arts and Disability
Celebrating Artists with Disabilities!

July 10 - July 21, 2024  | 10 am - 4 pm Held in partnership with Orange County Arts and Disability and returning to Bowers Museum for the second year in a row, experience the transformative power of art in Arts on the Move, a community display on view free of charge July 10-21. Arts on the Move showcases artwork by Special Education students from Orange County Schools, alongside talented adult artists with disabilities. Celebrating Disability Pride month, the exhibition also features educational elements such as the Braille Alphabet and the ASL alphabet, fostering a deeper understanding of diverse communication methods. Orange County Arts and Disability is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in partnership with the Orange County Department of Education. Orange County Arts and Disability's mission is to provide arts, education, and cultural opportunities by, with, and for people with disabilities, making the arts accessible to people of all abilities. All artwork for this traveling show was provided with special permission from participating students, their guardians, teachers, and community organizations.
