Drawing Comics in Taiwan with Sean Chuang, Asian Comics Artist

Growing up amidst Taiwan's martial law era, Chuang offers unique insights into how comics were perceived under ideological control. Sean Chuang, a renowned advertising director in Taiwan, boasts a portfolio of over five hundred works and numerous accolades. Delving into comic creation in 1998, Sean clinched the Youth and Annual Comic awards at the Golden Comic Awards in 2014 for 80s Taiwan Diary, vol. 2, which is featured in the Asian Comics exhibition. He has represented Taiwan at the Angoulême International Comics Festival and exhibited solo at esteemed venues like the Belgian Comic Strip Center and Munich Comic Festival. Sean has also lectured at prestigious universities including University College London and published works internationally in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
